I tried utilizing the deformation mode of the Cuboct lattice with static deformations between every other column of voxels. The images below show that there is a significant loss factor in the amount of deformation as you move further from the displacement. They also show that the deformation induced is < 10 degrees and therefore wouldn't be suficient for the angles computed from previous work.
The photos below show that the central mirrors are focusing on a single point by deforming the center of the structure, and also shows that the deformation doesn't extend far beyond those central mirrors.
